Sometimes training and living an active lifestyle can leave your muscles tight and take the edge off sports performance. A sports massage with us treats muscle and fascia. Getting you back to training – or competing! – feeling fresh and strong.

Sports Massage services we offer:

Sports Massage (45min.) – R800*

Sports Massage (90min.) – R1600*

These massages are tailored to treat your areas of concern. Cyclists often come for treatment for their neck and thighs, runners come for back and legs, and golfers might come for a combination – wherever they are feeling tight.

*Note: Sports Massages are not physiotherapy sessions. They are charged at a cash rate and will not be fully covered by medical aid.

How is a sports massage different from a physiotherapy session, and why might you benefit from one?

Sports massage is a treatment that addresses only the muscles and fascia. Sports massage is useful for recovery after an intense training session, to prepare your muscles for a big race, or for regular ‘maintenance’ as part of a high-volume training plan. The treatment is targeted to specific areas of concerns.

In a physio session we assess your movement system (including any injury) and then provide a treatment that addresses any areas (and habits) that impact movement. A physio session often includes hands-on techniques, advice, and some exercise.

Sometimes you need physio, a combination of physio and sports massage…or you might just feel like a sports massage!
